E-Safety
What is E-Safety?
Using the Internet is an everyday occurrence for the majority adults and children. Technology is expanding everyday with new apps and websites being developed a faster rate than we can keep up with! Children and the curriculum now uses technology such as blogs (online diaries), social networking spaces, online chat and mobile phones children which has never been the case before. With the increased use of technology, this brings with it risks and dangers that are important for all to be aware of.
E-Safety is about ensuring children use new technologies computers, mobile phones and gaming devices in a way which will keep them safe.
Why is Technology and the Internet important?
- Internet usage is a part of the statutory curriculum and necessary for staff and pupils to use
- We as a school need to ensure that we are providing pupils with quality Internet access as part of their learning journey at Maundene
Pupils must tell the school if they are receiving inappropriate messages on social media or via email.
For further information please read our leaflet below. We will also be uploading our E-Safety policy.
