Our House System

Our House System

The house system is a school initiative to give pupils a sense of shared community and a chance to work together with pupils and staff from across the school. It gives children more opportunities to interact with others and develop new and stronger relationships.

Pupils collect points for taking part in school events and demonstrating the school values. At the end of each term, children belonging to the house with the most points are allowed to wear their own clothes on the last day of term.

They also work in these teams on sports day every year, competing against the other houses to try and win the most points during the activities.

The children are allocated to one of four houses when they start at Maundene:

  • Cooling
  • Amherst
  • Upnor
  • Rochester
